Engineering and risk management

We assess transport feasibility for heavy and oversized cargo before sailing. We prepare the cargo plan, load calculations, lashing and seafastening.

Oversized equipment being loaded onto a vessel using deck cranes

What is included

Engineeringbefore loading

We assess technical feasibility before sailing, while operating constraints can still be addressed in the transport plan. We prepare the engineering basis for underwriter review. We then connect the agreed plan with supervision of its execution during loading.

01

Cargo plan

We develop the cargo arrangement on board, accounting for cargo particulars and loading constraints.

02

Loads and seafastening

We calculate loads on the deck, quay and support points and prepare lashing and seafastening arrangements.

03

Technical review

We prepare the plan for the underwriter and coordinate MWS (Marine Warranty Surveyor) involvement.

04

Loading supervision

We check loading against the agreed transport plan and provide supercargo attendance on board when required.

How it works

Four stepsto execution

From technical data to loading supervision.

01

Inputs

We collect cargo, vessel, quay and crane information. We clarify operating constraints and the scope of the engineering assessment.

02

Assessment

We check the proposed transport arrangement for feasibility. We prepare calculations and identify conditions to be met before loading.

03

Review

We submit the plan for underwriter review and coordinate with MWS. We clarify comments affecting the proposed operating conditions.

04

Execution

We supervise loading against the agreed plan. When deviations arise, we coordinate review of the changes with the parties involved.
